New DKM album

In case you missed it… Boston Celtic punk rock legends Dropkick Murphys have released another studio album.  I was skeptical at first, but it was $9.99 so I figured I’d give it a shot.  I’m glad I did!  It’s much, much better than I was expecting.  Their last four studio albums have been ok.  Blackout was pretty good, Warriors Code was awful (except for a couple songs), and Meanest of Times was decent.  Going Out In Style is wicked good.  It’s more folk oriented with a few “real” punk songs thrown in.  A few cool surprises were cameos in the video for the title song by current Bruins Shawn Thornton, Milan Lucic Bruins legend Bobby Orr (understatement), Lowell boxing legend “Irish” Micky Ward, Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis and other local legends.  Oh, and of course… Bruce Springsteen lent his vocals to track 12 on the disc.
