A week in VT

About a month ago, Sophie and I (and some of her college friends) went to VT for a week.  We had fun outside, of course, but there was also some good food prepared and consumed.  And what vacation is complete with out beer?  No real write ups (I was on vacation!) but some pictures both from my phone and my camera…

The drink of choice New Year’s Eve.  Sam Adams Infinium. It was pretty delicious.

Inspired by the sandwich we got at a restaurant, we decided to make our own.  With a beer of course.

The beer was Magic Hat’s Odd Notion.  It’s only available on tap at their brewery.  It’s neat because it’s their experimental beer and is constantly changing.  I had to get a growler.

We did a self guided tour of the brewery.

I had to get this for my future niece or nephew!

We tried baked chicken with cheese on top.  You can follow the baked chicken recipe and then add some shredded cheese on top.  After the chicken is cooked, add some cheese to the top and broil it for a few minutes to melt the cheese and make it crispy.

Here’s a view out the front window.  This is Sophie’s parents’ future retirement home.  It’s beyond nice!

And then some views of Lake Champlain.  It’s right in their backyard (literally).

At sunset.

That’s a week in VT in short!
