Peanut Butter! chicken

I had the same thought that many of you probably are having – peanut butter… on chicken?!  It tastes surprisingly delicious and is easy to make!

I’m only going to talk about the sauce here.  The chicken can be cooked in the pan how you normally would.

Ingredients for the peanut butter sauce:

  • peanut butter (I used a mix of creamy and crunchy)
  • Italian dressing
  • soy sauce
  • sauce pan
  • ground ginger (optional)
  • ground garlic (optional)
  • butter

Start off by melting some butter in the sauce pan you’re going to make the sauce in.  After that’s melted, add some peanut butter.  When it’s melted, you can stir it up while adding a little bit of water to make it thinner and more of a liquid.

After it’s a a thick liquid, add some Italian dressing, soy sauce and spices.  Feel free to mix and match spices.  I used mostly soy sauce with a bit of dressing, ginger and garlic.

Keep stirring and adding water, soy sauce and peanut butter until you get the consistency and flavor you want!

I served it with rice and chicken in the same way I would serve teriyaki or stir fry.
